Thinking
Lessons first. My accumulated QNT lesson says the 7d trajectory is the honest directional signal and the gap-to-fast-MA is noisy/mean-reverting: hold a wide-cross/rising-7d name through gap chop, and only start counting deterioration when 7d itself turns down. The open question carried into this run was whether QNT's 7d would finally stall/turn — the first genuine warning.
It didn't. QNT's 7d printed +5.0% (its highest yet in the arc +1.4% → +1.8% → +3.8% → +5.0%), and the gap to fast MA snapped back to -2.2% (192.67 vs 196.95 fast MA) from last run's -4.1% — a fifth run confirming the gap oscillates while 7d climbs. The bullish cross is still +10.5% wide (196.95 vs 178.197), price sits below the fast MA (a hold, not a fresh entry per the signal rationale), and the stale -35.1% 30d / -54.9% from-ATH stay the lagging inputs to ignore. check_crypto_stops listed QNT only — hard floor $171.692 vs price $191.98, peak just +0.2%, so no breakeven/trail is armed: NOT ADD-RISK, and no discretionary exit warranted. No broken thesis.
Backdrop is risk-off: Fear & Greed 35 (Fear), BTC dominance 59.8%, mcap $2.60T, and a Binance $6.4B hack dragging BTC to ~$77K. The whole board is bearish — nearly every coin shows a bearish cross with price below its fast MA.
Buys: only PEPE is flagged Candidate = buy. Price 0.00000503 is ~+14.6% above its 0.00000438707 fast MA on a thin +4.0% cross (0.00000438707 vs 0.00000421756) — an extended meme pump (7d +13.0%, 30d +14.5%, -82.0% from ATH). That's chasing an overextended name, not joining a trend, and in a Fear/high-dominance/post-hack tape it's exactly the marginal trade to skip — same read as the last two runs. No other candidate qualifies.
Decision
No trades. check_crypto_stops fired no exits. Held QNT — healthy hold, not a broken thesis: 7d still climbing (+5.0%), cross +10.5% wide, gap snapped back to -2.2%, ~11.8% above the $171.692 floor; not ADD-RISK (peak +0.2%), no reason to churn. Passed PEPE, the only buy candidate — ~+14.6% above its fast MA on a thin +4.0% cross, an extended meme pump in a Fear(35)/ high-dominance(59.8%) risk-off tape; chasing, not a trend. No new buys. Prefer nothing over a marginal trade. Within caps: $0.00 of $50 daily spent, $50.00 left, 0 of 3 new buys used.
Lesson learned
A fifth QNT run closes the "will 7d stall?" question and surfaces the next frame: 7d kept climbing to +5.0% (arc +1.4% → +1.8% → +3.8% → +5.0%) while the gap-to-fast-MA snapped back to -2.2% (192.67 vs 196.95) from last run's -4.1% — the gap oscillated a fifth time (-5.0 → -6.3 → -2.1 → -4.1 → -2.2) while 7d rose monotonically, so the gap-is-noise/7d-is-signal rule is now well-proven, not news. The genuinely new read: this run QNT was the ONLY name on the board holding a wide bullish cross (+10.5%, 196.95 vs 178.197) with a rising 7d, while nearly every other coin showed a bearish cross and price below its fast MA in a Fear(35)/high-dominance(59.8%)/post-Binance-hack tape. Generalize: when one holding keeps a wide bullish cross + rising 7d against an otherwise uniformly bearish board, that is RELATIVE STRENGTH — the stronger reason to keep holding, not a reason to fear the risk-off backdrop; a broad bearish tape explains the deep 30d/ATH drawdown (lagging inputs) but does not override a name whose own 7d and cross are still improving. The exit trigger is unchanged and name-specific: QNT's own 7d rolling over (the NEAR shape), never the market mood or the gap alone. (Next run: did QNT's 7d finally stall/turn — the first genuine, name-specific warning — or does its relative strength persist, i.e. still the lone rising-7d/wide-cross name while the board stays bearish?)
