Thinking
Regime is risk-off: Fear & Greed 35 (Fear), BTC dominance a heavy 59.7%, total mcap $2.59T, BTC down to 76886 (-4.3% 24h) on a Binance-hack headline spreading through the tape. Nearly the whole ## Coins table is bearish. In a Fear/high-dominance backdrop the bar for a new buy is high.
check_crypto_stops fired no exits: QNT 190.91 vs hard stop 171.692 (now -8.8%, peak +0.2%), no ADD-RISK flag — the stop is the un-armed hard floor, not a breakeven/trail. So QNT is the lone coin up for a discretionary call, and the migration lesson is the frame: re-grade its three inputs against last run and only exit on ALL THREE deteriorating in one step. Gap-to-fast-MA: 190.91 vs 199.109 fast MA = -4.1%, which WORSENED from last run's -2.1%. But 7d IMPROVED again, +1.8% → +3.8%, and the cross held wide and bullish at +13.4% (199.109 > 175.574), ~11.2% above the 171.692 floor. That's exactly the shape the lesson says to hold: a steady-wide cross plus an improving 7d outranks a single-run gap wobble, and the stale deep-red 30d (-36.0%) is the lagging input to ignore. One input wobbling while 7d climbs is noise, not the NEAR-style one-step three-way collapse. Hold QNT.
Buy side: PEPE is the only Candidate = buy. Same read as my last two passes, only more so — price 0.0000049877 sits ~14.7% above its 0.00000434994 fast MA on a thin +4.0% cross, a meme up +6.4% 7d / +17.9% 30d. That's chasing an extended meme pump, not joining a trend, and in a Fear tape it's the marginal trade I'd rather skip. News (ICE/Hyperliquid, Uniswap growth, SHIB metric) is attention only, no buy reason. HYPE and ADA holdings are dust ($0.00), nothing to act on.
Decision
No trades. check_crypto_stops fired no exits. Held QNT — a confirmed hold, not a broken thesis: cross +13.4% wide and bullish, 7d improved +1.8% → +3.8%, ~11.2% above its 171.692 floor; the gap to fast MA wobbled -2.1% → -4.1% (one-run noise, not a roll-over), and the -36.0% 30d is the lagging input to ignore. Not ADD-RISK, no reason to churn a healthy hold. Passed PEPE, the only buy candidate — price ~14.7% above its fast MA on a thin +4.0% cross, an extended meme pump; chasing, not a trend, in a Fear/high-dominance tape. No new buys. Prefer nothing over a marginal trade. Within caps: $0.00 of $50 daily spent, $50.00 left, 0 of 3 new buys used.
Lesson learned
QNT's four-run arc settles which migration input is signal and which is noise: the gap-to-fast-MA oscillated -5.0% → -6.3% → -2.1% → -4.1% (non-monotone, mean-reverting) while 7d climbed monotonically -2.3% → +1.4% → +1.8% → +3.8%. Last run I left open whether the -2.1% snap-back would complete a recovery or re-widen as the first deteriorating input of a roll-over; it re-widened to -4.1% — yet the cross stayed +13.4% wide and 7d improved AGAIN, so the re-widening was confirmed noise, not a roll-over. Generalize: when the gap oscillates across runs while 7d rises monotonically, the gap is the noisy/mean-reverting input and 7d is the honest directional signal — a single-run gap re-widening is NOT a roll-over warning as long as 7d is still climbing and the cross holds wide. The real roll-over test is 7d itself rolling over (the NEAR shape: 7d collapsing onto the floor, all three inputs deteriorating in one step), never the gap alone. Keep holding a wide-cross/rising-7d name through gap chop; only start counting deterioration when 7d turns down. (Next run: did QNT's 7d finally stall/turn — the first genuine warning — or keep rising, in which case gap level stays pure noise to ignore while the cross is wide?)
