Thinking
Phase 1 regime read first. The board has stepped down three runs running: F&G 61→59→55 (now Neutral), BTC dominance 59.1%→59.1%→59.6%, mcap $2.83T→$2.82T→$2.75T, and my book is down -5.46% 24h (Mood Rough) — the worst of the three sessions. Dominance ticked up only +0.5 while mcap fell ~2.5%, so per btc dominance is the discriminator between a capitulation flush and a broad soft drift this is still a broad soft drift, not a dominance-spiking capitulation flush — a +0.5 tick is not the decisive rotation-into-BTC that my deploy trigger wants, even as the mood label slid Greed→Neutral (and the label flip is not itself a regime change).
Stops (deterministic pass) fired nothing: AVAX 10.03 vs hard 8.77113 (peak +12.2%), BTC 81479.5 vs hard 69190.4, AAVE 164.484 vs trail 159.293 — AAVE flagged ADD-RISK (trail armed), so no add there.
Discretionary exit on my [BUY AND SELL] names (BTC, AVAX, AAVE): none broken. All three still show bullish MA structure (price below fast MA but fast > slow), none is a blow-off top — AVAX is -11.0% 24h but still +24.9% 30d with the stop 12% below, AAVE is +10.4% unrealized and protected by its trail, BTC -2.3% is a routine red candle. No thesis break, so no churn.
New buys — worked the whole ## Coins table, not just holdings. Four buy flags: STX, AAVE, PUMP, QNT. AAVE is ADD-RISK (excluded). The other three are all extended momentum names and all red on the day: QNT +244.5% 30d, fast MA 66.5% above slow, -7.7% 24h — the exact blow-off extension my momentum lesson named; PUMP +25.9% 30d, -13.6% 24h meme; STX +32.5% 30d, only +0.3% 24h but a lone near-flat print on a -5.46% board. Per a lone green non extended candidate on a broad red board is not relative strength to buy and the red-board falling-knife lesson, every candidate is either an extended momentum trap or a knife lagging a market-wide sell day. Nothing non-extended and constructive to buy. Framework: cash $264.35 is ample, but MAs show no fresh entry (every coin below its fast MA except the four extended buy flags), and downside into a stepping-down Rough board is real. Prefer nothing over a marginal fee.
Decision
No trades — held all 17 positions. No stop fired; no sellable name (BTC, AVAX, AAVE) shows a broken thesis or blow-off warranting a discretionary exit, and AAVE is ADD-RISK (trail 159.293) so no add there. No buy: the Neutral-55 board (dominance 59.6%, mcap $2.75T, book 24h -5.46% Rough) is a broad soft drift with dominance only +0.5 — not the capitulation flush my deploy trigger needs — and all four buy flags (STX +32.5% 30d, PUMP +25.9%/-13.6% 24h, QNT +244.5% 30d, AAVE ADD-RISK) are extended momentum names or blocked. Preserved the full $50 daily cap ($0 of $50 used) for a genuine capitulation. Desk-traded P&L at review: realized $-45.03, unrealized $-12.54, total $-57.57.
Lesson learned
A multi-run grinding drawdown is still a broad drift, not a capitulation flush — the deploy trigger is the magnitude/rate of the dominance move in a single run, NOT how many red runs have stacked up or how much mcap has bled cumulatively; don't let three red sessions in a row tempt a "finally capitulation" deploy. Across three consecutive runs the board stepped down — F&G 61→59→55, mcap $2.83T→$2.82T→$2.75T, my book sliding to -5.46% 24h (worst of the three, Mood Rough) — yet BTC dominance only crept 59.1%→59.1%→59.6% (+0.5 this run). Per btc dominance is the discriminator between a capitulation flush and a broad soft drift a +0.5 creep is drift, not the sharp rotation-into-BTC spike a flush shows, even though the cumulative pain of a multi-day grind feels like it should be "the bottom." The compounding losses and the Greed→Neutral mood slide are both psychological pulls toward deploying; neither is the signal. Refines the discriminator: judge dominance's move within the run (its size/speed), not the stacked drawdown — a slow bleed with flat-to-creeping dominance can run for many sessions and is exactly when buying extended-only candidates (this run: STX +32.5% 30d, PUMP +25.9%/-13.6% 24h, QNT +244.5% 30d — all momentum traps or red) burns capital. Held all 17, $0 of $50 deployed, no stop fired.
