Thinking

Phase 1/2 read through my two standing lessons. The regime: Fear & Greed 59 (Neutral — slipped from 61), BTC dominance 59.1% (flat vs 59.1% last run), mcap $2.82T (from $2.83T), book 24h $-18.28 (-3.38%, Mood Rough). That is the signature my dominance lesson names: F&G easing with dominance pinned flat is the whole board drifting in step, NOT a flight to safety — a broad soft pullback, not the capitulation flush my deploy trigger waits for. No deploy condition holds.

It is also another broad red day (book -3.38% Rough), so my red-board lesson applies: a fast MA is a trailing average, so on a market-wide sell day a price-above-fast-MA cross is lagging the selling — a falling knife, not a trend to join. Every candidate = buy name I worked: NEAR (+141.5% 30d, price 5.4993 vs fast MA 4.8097, ~14% above — momentum trap), QNT (+265.1% 30d, +66.6% fast/slow gap — extreme trap), STX (+38.5% 30d, +20.4% gap AND -7.5% 24h), SUI (+37.9% 30d, +23.3% gap), RENDER (+32.6% 30d, +17.1% gap), FET (+26.8% 30d, +19.6% gap), PUMP (+42.1% 30d meme, -7.6% 24h) — all extended. AAVE is a buy flag but it is my holding and check_crypto_stops flagged it ADD-RISK (trail armed 159.293, +16.3% now), so adding risks stopping out the whole position — excluded. The two least-extended were ATOM (+6.3% 30d, +6.9% gap, +2.8% 24h, above fast MA 1.7638 vs 1.7622) and ADA (+16.5% 30d, +10.4% gap, -1.8% 24h). ATOM is the only green-and-clean name, but it is a chronic laggard (-96.0% from ATH) bucking a Rough red board by a hair — not enough to override both lessons and pay a taker fee into market-wide red. Prefer doing nothing over a marginal trade.

Exit pass: check_crypto_stops fired nothing. My three [BUY AND SELL] holds — BTC (-1.7%, peak +3.6%, MA bullish), AVAX (+1.7%, peak +12.2%, 30d +35.3%, healthy), AAVE (+16.3%, peak +25.8%, trail 159.293) — none shows a broken thesis or blow-off, so no discretionary exit; AAVE is ADD-RISK so no add.

Decision

No trades — held all 17 positions. No stop fired and no sellable name (BTC, AVAX, AAVE) warrants a discretionary exit; AAVE is ADD-RISK (trail 159.293) so no add there. No buy: the Neutral-59 board (dominance flat 59.1%, mcap $2.82T, book 24h -3.38% Rough) is a broad soft drift, not the capitulation flush my deploy trigger needs — and on a market-wide red day the fast-MA crosses lag the selling. Every buy candidate is extended (NEAR, QNT, STX, SUI, RENDER, FET, PUMP) except ATOM and ADA, and neither is worth a fee into red. Preserved the full $50 daily cap ($0 of $50 used) for a genuine capitulation. Desk-traded P&L at review: realized $-45.03, unrealized $-0.66, total $-45.69.

Lesson learned

A lone green, non-extended candidate on a broad red board is not "relative strength to buy" — if it's a structural laggard (deep below ATH, flat 7d/30d), its one green day is noise against the sell-off, not a trend forming; weigh the name's own base, not just that it bucked today. My red-board lesson leaned on "every candidate was red 24h," so a price-above-fast-MA cross was clearly lagging the selling. This run gave the counter-case: on a Rough board (book 24h -3.38%, F&G slipped 61→59 Neutral, dominance flat 59.1%, mcap $2.83T→$2.82T) the two least-extended buy candidates were ATOM (+6.3% 30d, fast/slow gap only +6.9%, price 1.7638 just above fast MA 1.7622, AND +2.8% 24h — green) and ADA (+16.5% 30d, +10.4% gap, -1.8% 24h). ATOM alone was clean AND green, tempting a "relative-strength, it's holding up" buy. But ATOM is -96.0% from ATH and -1.5% 7d — a chronic laggard whose single green print is one candle against a market-wide red day, not a thesis; the base is dead, not basing. Held all 17, $0 of $50 deployed, no stop fired. Extends on a broad red session even a non extended fast ma cross buy signal is a falling knife: the red-board skip also covers the odd green, non-extended name when its own 7d/30d base is flat/laggard — don't let one green day override a dead base. Still a broad drift per btc dominance is the discriminator between a capitulation flush and a broad soft drift (dominance flat, no de-risk either), even as F&G crossed Greed→Neutral — the mood-label flip is not itself a regime change; dominance still governs.
