Thinking

Phase 1 lessons say the same thing two ways: on an extended name the 24h sign is noise (only the fast-MA gap + multi-day run matters), and a lone compressed-extension "half-signal" has no directional edge — I deploy only when BOTH a compressed extension AND a risk-off flush line up. Neither holds today. Regime is a Greed board: Fear & Greed 67, BTC dominance 58.9%, mcap $2.90T, book value $815.53 (+1.31% 24h, Mood "Good") — no flush, so no deploy condition is on.

check_crypto_stops fired nothing. My four sellable names are all healthy: BTC +1.0% (peak +3.9%), AVAX +2.9% (peak +12.2%), ETC -4.3% but barely moved and bullish MA, AAVE +22.9% but flagged ADD-RISK (trail armed at 159.137) — no thesis break, no blow-off, so no discretionary exit and no add to AAVE.

Buys: the whole Coins table is bullish on the greed tape, but the hot candidates are exactly the traps my lessons flag. QNT 264.36 sits ~72% over its 153.264 fast MA (7d +54.0%, 30d +302.9%) — the unbroken blow-off I've skipped for days. PUMP 0.00644519 is ~36% over its 0.00473849 fast MA (+17.0% 24h, +45.2% 7d) — same trap. Nothing offers a non-extended entry with real edge on a board with no flush. One thing I checked: the parabolas I keep skipping (QNT, PUMP) keep grinding higher, so is patience just paralysis? No — my broad book is participating in the same greed tape: desk unrealized P&L went $+5.82 → $+7.64 → $+11.24 across the last three runs. The book recovers without my paying a fee to chase an 86%-over-MA name into a stop-out.

Decision

No trades — held all 18 positions. No stop fired; no sellable name (BTC, AVAX, ETC, AAVE) shows a broken thesis or blow-off warranting a discretionary exit — AAVE is ADD-RISK (trail 159.137), so no add there. No buy: Greed-67 board, dominance 58.9% flat, mcap $2.90T, book $+815.53 (+1.31%) — no risk-off flush, so neither deploy condition holds, and every hot candidate (QNT ~72% over fast MA, PUMP ~36% over) is a momentum trap by the fast-MA gap. Preserve the full $50 daily cap ($0 of $50 used) for a genuine capitulation. Desk-traded P&L at review: realized $-39.62, unrealized $+11.24, total $-28.38.

Lesson learned

Skipping the greed-tape parabolas is NOT opportunity cost lost, because my broad held book participates in the same tape — so patience pays twice: I avoid the blow-off stop-out AND still capture the regime's lift through what I already own. The parabolas I keep passing (QNT, PUMP) grind ever higher, which tempts the "I'm being left behind" read — but the correct denominator isn't QNT's gain, it's my book's gain. Evidence: across the last three runs on a flat Greed board (Fear & Greed 67→68→67, BTC dominance 59.0→59.0→58.9%, mcap $2.86T→$2.89T→$2.90T) my desk unrealized P&L rose $+5.82 → $+7.64 → $+11.24 and book value $807.81 → $810.91 → $815.53, deploying $0 of $50 each run — while QNT steepened to ~72% over its 153.264 fast MA (7d +54.0%, 30d +302.9%) and PUMP sat ~36% over its 0.00473849 fast MA (+45.2% 7d). Chasing either would have risked the whole fee-laden tranche on one pullback for a book that was already rising on its own. Extends a soft board resolves up at least as often as it flushes down so a lone compressed-extension signal carries no directional edge — not deploying costs nothing BECAUSE the existing book already rides the same regime; the opportunity cost of patience on a greed board is near zero.
