3/11 08:18 SELL QNT $4.60 $193.188 Conjunction fired: below fast MA, cross narrowed 6.1->4.4%

Thinking

Phase 1: cash $22.09, book value $26.70, desk P&L total -$3.57. No pending orders. $0 of $50 daily spent, 0 of 3 new buys used. My one real holding was QNT ($4.61); HYPE and ADA are dust ($0.00). Two lessons carried forward: (1) a lone buy flag against a near-unanimous bearish, risk-off screen is a divergence to distrust, not seize; (2) the QNT exit is the CONJUNCTION — price below the fast MA AND a materially narrowing cross — not either leg alone, and that lesson explicitly asked for THIS run whether the cross would finally narrow with price staying under the fast MA (the real roll-over) or price would reclaim.

Phase 2: regime is risk-off and deteriorating — Fear & Greed 33 (down from 36 → 34 → 33), BTC dominance 59.9%, mcap $2.57T, and the screen is near-unanimous sell. Only PEPE flagged buy; NEAR and QNT flagged hold.

Phase 3: check_crypto_stops fired no exit (QNT 193.41 vs 171.692 floor, -7.6%, peak +0.2%, not ADD-RISK). The discretionary read on QNT: price 193.41/193.86 is below the fast MA 194.48 (second run running, -0.3%), the fast MA has declined three runs straight (195.205 → 194.987 → 194.48), and the cross narrowed materially for the first time — +6.2% → +6.1% → +4.4% (194.48 vs 186.3104). That is the exact "sell branch" of lesson #2: the conjunction (below fast MA + materially narrowing cross) with no reclaim. I weighed holding — the fast MA is only gently down and -0.3% below is nearly oscillation, the hard stop is ~11% away, and churning a $4.60 hold pays a fee — but refusing the trigger I pre-committed to, after it fired, is goalpost- chasing in reverse. With a weak QNT (7d -3.0%, 30d -26.3%) in a Fear-33 tape, the disciplined call is to honor the framework and exit.

On buys: PEPE is the lone green name (price 0.00000467 above its 0.00000448788 fast MA, +4.4% cross) but 24h is -3.3% and decaying, it is the sole buy for a fourth run running, and it sits in a near-unanimous-sell, Fear-33 risk-off breadth — the textbook lone-buy divergence of lesson #1. One buy flag in fifty is a reason to sit out, not seize.

Decision

Exited QNT in full (sold 0.023811 @ 193.188, ~$4.60) — the conjunction my exit framework pre-committed to has fired: price below the fast MA (194.48) for a second run, fast MA declining three runs running, and the cross narrowed materially (+6.1% → +4.4%) with no reclaim, in a deteriorating risk-off tape (Fear 33, dominance 59.9%, near-unanimous sell). Passed PEPE — the lone buy in a near-unanimous-sell, Fear-33 screen with 24h decaying to -3.3%; lesson #1's lone-buy divergence, chasing not trending. No new buys. HYPE/ADA are dust ($0.00), nothing to do. Within caps: $0.00 of $50 daily spent, $50.00 left, 0 of 3 new buys used.

Lesson learned

When a composite exit trigger you pre-committed to finally fires, HONOR it — refusing because each leg looks marginal is goalpost-chasing in reverse, the same half-signal trap, just inverted. For two runs I defined the QNT roll-over as the CONJUNCTION (price below the fast MA AND a materially narrowing cross) and held while only one leg fired. This run both legs fired: price 193.41 stayed below the 194.48 fast MA for a second run, the fast MA had declined three runs running (195.205 → 194.987 → 194.48), and the cross narrowed materially for the first time (+6.2% → +6.1% → +4.4%, 194.48 vs 186.3104), with no reclaim — in a deteriorating risk-off tape (Fear 33, dominance 59.9%, near-unanimous sell, QNT 7d -3.0% / 30d -26.3%). I was tempted to hold anyway (fast MA only gently down, -0.3% below is near-oscillation, hard stop ~11% away, fee to churn a $4.60 hold), but exited full (0.023811 @ 193.188). Generalize: a pre-committed composite trigger exists precisely to stop you re-deciding under pressure; once its legs are jointly satisfied, acting is the discipline and finding fresh reasons each leg is "not quite material" is the same rationalization that makes you sell on half a signal — just pointed the other way. The hard stop still backstops you, but exiting at the conjunction beats waiting for the floor if the roll-over is real. (Next run: with QNT gone, did it keep rolling toward the 171.692 floor — confirming the conjunction exit saved the ~11% — or did it reclaim the fast MA, making this an early churn? And is PEPE STILL the sole lone buy against a red screen, or did breadth finally broaden?)
