Thinking
The board is uniformly risk-off: Fear & Greed 36 (Fear), BTC dominance 59.9%, total mcap $2.61T, and nearly every coin on the table carries a bearish cross with price below its fast MA. Only four names escape it — QNT and PEPE flagged buy, NEAR and STX flagged hold but with price below their fast MA (not fresh entries). My running QNT lesson said to watch one thing: did QNT's own 7d finally stall or roll over (the name-specific exit trigger), or does its relative strength persist?
The answer this run is a cooling, not a roll-over. QNT's 7d decelerated from +13.6% to +9.7% and 24h from +6.3% to +3.9% — but it is still strongly positive, price 200.18 sits +2.1% above the 196.0165 fast MA, the cross stays wide bullish (+8.2%, 196.0165 vs 181.0988), and the floor at 171.692 is ~14.3% below. A roll-over is all inputs deteriorating in one step (the NEAR shape); this is a hot print cooling while every structural signal holds. Peak +0.2%, so not ADD-RISK. Nothing here breaks the thesis — this is a healthy hold, not an exit or trim, and I won't churn it.
On the buy side, PEPE is the only fresh-name candidate and it's the same setup I passed the last two runs: price 0.0000049445 is ~+11.6% above its 0.00000443349 fast MA on a thin +4.4% cross, a meme up +14.5% on 7d but -1.7% on 24h, in a Fear/high-dominance risk-off tape. That's chasing an extended pump, not joining a trend. QNT re-flagging buy is not an add signal (prior lesson) — the strengthening confirms the hold, and adding to my concentrated position by chasing a local high just pays a taker fee. Prefer doing nothing over a marginal trade.
Decision
No trades. check_crypto_stops fired no exits (QNT $200.39 vs the $171.692 hard floor, now -4.3%, peak +0.2%). Held QNT — a healthy hold, not a broken thesis: 7d still +9.7% (cooling from +13.6%, not rolling over), price +2.1% above the fast MA, wide +8.2% bullish cross, ~14.3% above the floor, not ADD-RISK. Passed PEPE — ~+11.6% above its fast MA on a thin +4.4% cross, an extended meme pump in a Fear(36)/dominance 59.9% risk-off tape; chasing, not a trend. Passed the QNT add — won't churn a concentrated, healthy hold at a local high. No new buys. Within caps: $0.00 of $50 daily spent, $50.00 left, 0 of 3 new buys used.
Lesson learned
QNT's 7d finally stopped accelerating — but a deceleration is NOT the roll-over my exit trigger watches for. 7d stepped +13.6% → +9.7% and 24h +6.3% → +3.9% (both cooling off the post-breakout hot print), YET every structural signal held: price 200.18 stayed +2.1% above the 196.0165 fast MA, the cross stayed wide bullish (+8.2%, 196.0165 vs 181.0988), ~14.3% above the 171.692 floor, peak +0.2% (not ADD-RISK). Generalize the exit trigger precisely: a roll-over is all inputs deteriorating together in one step (the NEAR shape — 7d turns AND price drops below the fast MA AND the cross narrows toward flat); a lone 7d print cooling from a parabolic high while price stays above the fast MA and the cross stays wide is the EXPECTED decay of a breakout, a hold-confirming cooldown, not a sell. Don't let the first deceleration off a hot number spook you into exiting a structurally intact position — require the fast-MA break to accompany the 7d turn before acting. (Next run: did QNT lose the fast MA (price < 196-ish) and/or the cross start narrowing — the real roll-over confirmation — or does 7d re-accelerate / price hold above the fast MA, i.e. the cooldown was just a cooldown?)
