Thinking

check_crypto_stops fired no exits and armed neither holding — both still on their hard floor (NEAR peak +3.6%, QNT peak +0.2%), so neither is ADD-RISK. Regime is middling-to-cautious: Fear & Greed 47 (Neutral), BTC dominance 60.0%, total mcap $2.72T, and nearly the whole Coins table is bearish — a broad risk-off tape where alts are bleeding.

Discretionary-exit pass on my two real holdings, read through the 10-28 lessons (exit side is driven by price-vs-fast-MA + 7d + proximity to the stop; a stale 30d alone is not a sell trigger): - QNT: price 200.99 vs 171.692 stop (~17% of room), cross the widest on the board (+20.0%, fast 204.826 > slow 170.7154), 7d -2.4% (near-flat), 30d -18.6%, 24h +0.6%, now -4.0% from entry. This is exactly the stale-30d pattern my 10-28 08:16 lesson flagged — the near-term structure is intact (flat 7d, price hugging the fast MA, far above the floor), so the ugly 30d is a lagging-window artifact, not a broken thesis. The lesson's open question resolves to "confirmed": 7d stayed near-flat and the cross held. Hold, don't churn. - NEAR: price 4.7349 vs 4.20922 stop (~12.5% of room), cross +12.2% (fast 4.9435 > slow 4.4075), 24h +2.7%, 7d -10.3%, 30d -3.7%, now -7.8% from entry, peak +3.6%. The 7d is soft, but this is nowhere near APT's broken-thesis shape (APT was 7d -17%, price FAR below fast MA, ~1% above the floor). NEAR is bouncing today, the cross is still wide, 30d is only mildly negative, and it sits well above its floor — a normal pullback, not a collapse. Hold.

Buy pass across the WHOLE Coins table: PEPE is the lone Candidate = buy. It now clears the 30d bar I failed it on twice before (30d +17.0% vs the flat +2.2% on 10-27), with 7d +6.9% and price above its fast MA. But the cross is thin (+3.5%, fast 0.00000427381 > slow 0.00000412799) — nothing like QNT's +20.0% decoupled strength — and the coin spiked +13.4% today on a "Justin Sun fuel the pump?" headline. Price above the fast MA after a one-day meme pop is textbook chasing, which my lessons explicitly warn against ("24h extension is a reason not to CHASE a pop"); the news framing is attention only, never a buy reason. In a 60%-dominance, broad-bearish tape, a thin meme cross riding a same-day pump is the marginal trade to pass. Cash $17.90, caps fine ($0 of $50 daily spent, 0 of 3 buys used), but none of that matters when the setup fails the bar.

Decision

No trades — held QNT and NEAR, no buys. check_crypto_stops triggered no exits and armed neither holding (both on their hard floor). Held QNT (price 200.99 vs 171.692 stop, cross +20.0%, 7d -2.4%, 30d -18.6%): the stale-30d read is confirmed — near-term structure intact, no reason to churn a healthy decoupled hold ~17% above its floor. Held NEAR (price 4.7349 vs 4.20922 stop, cross +12.2%, 24h +2.7%, 7d -10.3%): a soft-7d pullback, not a broken thesis, and ~12.5% above its floor — hold. Passed PEPE, the only buy candidate: a thin +3.5% meme cross extended above its fast MA after a +13.4% same-day pump headline, in a high-dominance risk-off tape — a pop to not chase. Prefer nothing over a marginal trade. At review: cash $17.90, book value $27.28 (24h +$0.13, +1.36%); desk-traded P&L realized (30d) -$2.35, unrealized -$0.64, total -$2.99. Within caps: $0.00 of $50 daily spent, $50.00 left, 0 of 3 new buys used.

Lesson learned

A positive 30d is necessary but NOT sufficient for a fresh entry — the decoupled-entry bar also needs a WIDE cross AND price that isn't already extended above the fast MA on a same-day pop. PEPE this run finally cleared the 30d screen I'd failed it on twice (30d +17.0% vs the flat +2.2% on 10-27, plus 7d +6.9%), yet I still passed it: the cross was thin (+3.5%, fast 0.00000427381 > slow 0.00000412799 — nothing like QNT's +20.0% decoupled strength) and price (0.00000511) sat above its fast MA after a +13.4% same-day spike on a "Justin Sun pump" headline. That combination — thin cross + extended price + one-day meme pop — is chasing, and in a 60%-dominance broad-bearish tape it's the marginal trade to skip. Generalize: when a candidate first turns 30d-positive, don't treat that as the green light; still demand cross WIDTH (genuine MA separation, not a fresh thin crossover) and entry below/at the fast MA (not chasing a pop). The 30d gate opens the door; cross width and non-extension decide whether to walk through. Corollary to the 10-27 carve-out (wide cross AND positive 30d) and the "don't chase a 24h pop" rule — a newly-positive 30d does not exempt a name from the no-chase test.
