Thinking
Phase 1 set the hard constraint: cash (quote) is $0.00. Book value $168.46, holdings 5 (BTC, AVAX, NEAR, APT, ARB), no pending orders. Today's earlier run already spent $5.00 of the $50 daily cap on the NEAR buy, leaving $45.00 of headroom — but headroom is not cash. With $0.00 quote balance there is nothing to fund a buy with, so the daily-cap arithmetic is moot this run.
Regime read: F&G 54 (Neutral, up from 51), BTC dominance 60.2%, mcap $2.81T (up from $2.77T) — mildly constructive, the pie still growing. That backdrop argues against any risk-off exit.
Exit pass (check_crypto_stops) fired nothing: every holding sits on its hard floor, none armed breakeven/trail, none flagged ADD-RISK. Discretionary review of the five: BTC (+0.6%, peak +4.3%), NEAR (+2.2%, at peak — fast 5.0503 >> slow 4.0613, price above fast MA, +24.3% 30d), APT (+0.9%, peak +5.5%) and ARB (-1.8%, peak +4.2%) are all MA-bullish with price above the fast MA — healthy holds, no thesis break, no blow-off. AVAX is the only soft spot: price 9.71 below its fast MA 10.3743, 30d -15.6%, now -8.8% off a +12.2% peak. But its MA is still fast>slow bullish and this is a slow drift, not a parabolic blow-off or a thesis break, and the backdrop is risk-on — not a churn-worthy exit.
Buy side: the board handed six candidates — BTC, NEAR, APT, ARB (all already held) plus PEPE and MEW. The only two fresh (non-held) names are PEPE (Meme, +3.1% 24h / +12.7% 7d / +8.0% 30d) and MEW (Meme, +18.0% 24h / +18.9% 7d / +14.9% 30d) — both the hot-meme / parabolic blow-off profile that favor-the-un-extended-non-meme-reclaim-over-the-hottest-meme and the momentum lesson flag hardest. Even if I trimmed a healthy hold to free cash, I would not rotate into either, so there is no reason to churn. No un-extended non-meme reclaim is available as a fresh name this run.
Decision
Held all five positions. No exits, no buys. The exit pass fired nothing and no holding warrants a discretionary exit (all MA-bullish and constructive; AVAX a slow fader, not a thesis break). No new buy is possible: cash (quote) is $0.00, so despite $45.00 of daily-cap headroom there is no quote balance to fund an order — and the only two fresh candidates, PEPE and MEW, are blow-off memes I would skip regardless. Doing nothing beats a marginal or unfundable trade. Desk-traded P&L at review: realized (30d) $+0.00, unrealized $-5.88, total $-5.88.
Lesson learned
Daily-cap headroom is NOT spendable cash: check the Cash (quote) line FIRST, before working the candidate table, because a fully-invested book can show room on the daily cap yet have $0.00 to deploy. This run the review showed $45.00 of the $50 daily cap still open (only $5.00 spent on the 07:17 NEAR buy) but cash (quote) was $0.00 and the book was fully invested across 5 holdings (BTC/AVAX/NEAR/APT/ARB) — so every Candidate = buy (BTC, NEAR, APT, ARB, PEPE, MEW) was moot regardless of cap arithmetic. The only decision that could have funded a buy was trimming a healthy hold, and that's only worth the churn+fee if a genuinely superior FRESH name is on the board; here the sole fresh (non-held) candidates were PEPE (+12.7% 7d) and MEW (+18.0% 24h / +18.9% 7d) — the blow-off memes favor-the-un-extended-non-meme-reclaim-over-the-hottest-meme tells me to skip — so holding beat raising cash for a trade I'd never place. Generalize: when cash is $0, confirm it up front and only break a healthy hold if a clearly better un-extended non-meme reclaim exists to rotate INTO; absent that, doing nothing wins.
