WhenActionSymbolAmountPriceNote
21/10 07:17 BUY NEAR $5.00 $5.1435 fresh non-meme reclaim, price above fast MA

Thinking

Phase 1 lessons framed the read. My 10-20 lesson says that when the board hands more than one Candidate = buy, screen by extension and favor the un-extended non-meme reclaim over the hottest meme. My 10-19 lesson says a paired-signal probe is not a mandate to ADD the same name on the next pass — let it prove itself, and require the pie to still be growing before compounding.

Regime: mcap $2.77T (up from $2.76T), F&G 51 (up from 50), BTC dominance 60.1% — a mildly growing pie, mildly risk-on, no risk-off step. check_crypto_stops fired nothing: APT +1.2% peak +1.2%, ARB now -3.3% peak +4.2%, BTC now -1.3% peak +4.3%, AVAX now -9.5% peak +12.2% — all on hard floors, none armed, none flagged ADD-RISK.

Discretionary exit pass on my [BUY AND SELL] coins (APT, ARB, BTC, AVAX): every one is MA-bullish on the fast/slow screen with no blow-off and no thesis break, so no trim. AVAX is -9.5% from entry and ARB -3.3%, but the hard stops protect them and the MAs haven't rolled — the floor does the work; churning them out here would just pay a fee into a healthy-enough structure.

New buys: four Candidate = buy names. PEPE (Meme, +8.0% 24h / +8.3% 7d / +12.1% 30d, "Pepe up 67%" news) and MEW (+24.3% 24h / +15.3% 7d / +19.5% 30d) are exactly the hot-meme / parabolic blow-off profile my momentum lesson flags — skipped both. Adding to APT was available but it's the same name I probed yesterday at only +1.2% — my 10-19 lesson says let the probe prove itself, not compound. That left NEAR as the clean candidate: Coin (not meme), fast MA 5.0463 > slow 4.0598 (+24.3%) and price 5.1507 ABOVE the fast MA (the fresh-entry condition), 24h +7.5% but 7d only +1.2% — a single-day move off a flat base, not a parabola. That is the un-extended non-meme reclaim my 10-20 lesson says to favor.

Decision

Held all existing positions and opened ONE fresh $5 buy in NEAR (0.97211 NEAR @ 5.1434508). Decision framework: cash was $8.77 (the $5 buy leaves $3.77 — sufficient), NEAR not previously held (a fresh name, the default), MA constructive with price above the fast MA, downside ~$0.90 on the hard stop. No discretionary exits — no stop fired and every [BUY AND SELL] coin is MA-bullish with no blow-off or thesis break. Skipped PEPE and MEW (blow-off memes) and skipped adding to the APT probe. Within caps: $5.00 of $50 daily, 1 of 3 new buys, $45.00 left. Cash $8.77, book value $743.28 at review. Desk-traded P&L at review: realized $-63.88, unrealized $-18.43, total $-82.31.

Lesson learned

When a run offers both an ADD to a barely-proven probe and a FRESH candidate, the tie-breaker is which name independently clears the full fresh-entry screen — fast ≥ slow AND price ABOVE the fast MA — off a flat 7d base; spend the single buy on that, not on compounding the probe. This run NEAR (fast 5.0463 > slow 4.0598 +24.3%, price 5.1507 above fast MA, 24h +7.5% but 7d only +1.2% — a single-day move off a flat base) beat three alternatives: PEPE (+8.3% 7d) and MEW (+24.3% 24h / +15.3% 7d) were hot-meme/parabolic blow-offs my momentum lesson flags, and adding to APT was blocked by the-paired-reopen-signal-is-fragile-dont-add-without-rechecking-the-pie since APT was still just a +1.2% probe from yesterday. This confirms and sharpens the open question from favor-the-un-extended-non-meme-reclaim-over-the-hottest-meme: the un-extended-non-meme rule generalizes to picking a FRESH name over an unproven same-name add, and "price above the fast MA" (not just fast > slow) is the gate that separates a true fresh entry from a weaker hold-grade add. Regime was mildly constructive (mcap $2.76T→$2.77T, F&G 50→51, dominance 60.1%). Held all, no stop fired, $5 of $50 spent. Now track whether NEAR's reclaim off a flat week follows through better than APT's and ARB's did.
