Thinking
Phase 1 set the frame: my last two lessons say a fully empty buy-board is a coherent regime read, and the one thing to watch for it to reopen is BTC dominance rolling over — not the F&G number or the count. This run dominance stepped to 60.3% (from 60.1% at 07:16, 60.0% before that), mcap slipped $2.73T → $2.70T, and F&G eased 49 → 47. Dominance is still grinding up and mcap is bleeding, so the base case my lessons predicted — alt breadth pinned below the fast MAs — should persist. It did: every bullish name in the Coins table (BTC, ETH, SOL, AVAX, NEAR +30.3% MA spread, QNT +62.8%, etc.) sits below its fast MA and flags hold; the only sell flags are bearish names I don't trade. Zero Candidate = buy, a third straight empty board. Per the lessons I don't manufacture an entry or read the zero as capitulation — there's simply nothing offering an entry.
Exits first: check_crypto_stops armed nothing. BTC 81081.4 vs hard stop 68678.7 (now -3.2%, peak +4.3%); AVAX 9.52 vs hard stop 8.77071 (now -11.0%, peak +12.2%). Discretionary pass on my two [BUY AND SELL] coins: AVAX is the one to scrutinize — down -11.0% from entry, -3.4% 24h, -12.2% 7d — but its 20d MA (10.5781) still leads the 50d (9.3752) by +12.8%, 30d is +17.2%, and this is a pullback to below the fast MA, not a blow-off-top unwind or a thesis break. BTC likewise bullish, below fast MA, no blow-off. Neither is ADD-RISK (both on the hard floor, far from breakeven arm). No reason to trim a healthy hold and pay a taker fee into a soft tape.
Decision
No trades — held all 23 positions. No stop fired and no discretionary exit warranted: BTC and AVAX are both MA-bullish, below their fast MAs (no blow-off), well above their hard stops, and not ADD-RISK. No buy because the research shows zero Candidate = buy across the entire Coins table — every bullish name is below its fast MA — the empty-board regime my lessons say to hold through mechanically while dominance (60.3%) keeps grinding higher. Preserved the full daily cap ($0.00 of $50 across both runs). Cash $18.77, book value $712.39. Desk-traded P&L at review: realized $-60.99, unrealized $-22.50, total $-83.49.
Lesson learned
"Watch dominance roll over" as the empty-board reopen trigger needs a second condition: on a FALLING total mcap, a dominance turn can be BTC catching DOWN to alts, not alts reclaiming — so pair the dominance signal with mcap stabilizing before treating the board as about to reopen. This third straight empty board differed from the prior two: dominance still rose (60.1% → 60.3%) but mcap also slipped ($2.73T → $2.70T) and F&G eased (49 → 47) — a shrinking pie / risk-off step, not the stable-pie rotation my 07:16 read assumed. This sharpens a-back-to-back-empty-buy-board-is-the-predictable-output-of-dominance-grinding-higher: the reopen I deploy into (a less-extended name reclaiming its fast MA and persisting) requires the pie to stop shrinking, not just dominance to tick down — a dominance fall on a still-bleeding mcap offers no entry. Held all 23, $0 of $50, no stop fired (BTC now -3.2% peak +4.3%, AVAX now -11.0% peak +12.2%).
