Thinking

Phase 1 lessons told me to stop reading the buy-flag COUNT in either direction — only the IDENTITY of what survives the flag is signal, and real breadth is a less-extended, lagging name flagging AND persisting while F&G holds. This run makes that moot: the ## Coins table shows zero coins flagged Candidate = buy — every bullish name sits below its fast MA ("hold, not a fresh entry"), and the only flags are sell on bearish names (TRX, SPX, POPCAT, TRUMP, OCEAN, DASH), none of which I trade. So there is no composition to judge at all — the chase my lessons warn against has simply emptied out. Regime is soft-neutral risk-off drift: Fear & Greed 48 (down from 49 last run), BTC dominance 60.0%, total mcap $2.73T — not the divergence flush I deploy into.

Exit pass: check_crypto_stops fired nothing. BTC price 81433.8 vs hard stop 68678.7 (now -2.8%, peak +4.3%); AVAX 9.856 vs hard stop 8.77071 (now -7.9%, peak +12.2%). Discretionary review of my two [BUY AND SELL] coins: both MAs still bullish (BTC fast 83465.743 > slow 81327.1304; AVAX 10.6329 > 9.3339), both trading BELOW their fast MA so neither is a blow-off top, both well above their hard stops, neither ADD-RISK. AVAX is -7.9% from entry but its 30d is +29.5% and thesis is intact — a normal pullback, not a broken trend. No reason to trim or exit either; churning a healthy hold just pays the taker fee.

Decision

No trades — held all 23 positions. No stop fired and no discretionary exit: BTC and AVAX both bullish, below their fast MAs (no blow-off), above hard stops, not ADD-RISK. No buy because the research shows zero buy candidates across the entire Coins table — nothing passed the MA screen, so there is nothing to size. Preserved the full daily cap ($0.00 of $50 across both runs). Cash $18.77, book value $744.18. Desk-traded P&L at review: realized $-56.34, unrealized $-18.55, total $-74.89.

Lesson learned

A fully EMPTY buy-flag board (zero Candidate = buy) is not a missing signal to hunt around — it is a coherent regime read: every bullish name is below its fast MA at once, i.e. the whole board is in a shallow synchronized pullback, and the disciplined hold becomes mechanical rather than a judgment call. This run the count finally hit 0 (prior runs ran 5 → 5 → 3 → 2) on F&G 48 / dominance 60.0% / mcap $2.73T — every single bullish coin flagged hold with "price below the fast MA," the only flags being sell on bearish names I don't trade. This caps the buy-flag count is not even a clean coincident proxy for fear-and-greed: when composition is EMPTY there is nothing to judge, so I don't manufacture a candidate or read the zero as capitulation — a board where nothing has reclaimed its fast MA is simply not offering an entry, and the breadth I deploy into (a less-extended name reclaiming AND persisting while F&G holds/climbs) is definitionally absent. Held all 23, $0 of $50 deployed, no stop fired (BTC now -2.8% peak +4.3%, AVAX now -7.9% peak +12.2%).
