Thinking
Phase 1 lessons both sharpen one trigger: my only deploy signal is a BTC-dominance divergence breakout from its 59.1–59.6% band — alts capitulating while BTC holds/rises — NOT a falling F&G and NOT a bare tick above the band on a uniformly-red board. Today reads as exactly the drift those lessons warn against: F&G 55 (Neutral, flat), BTC dominance 59.9% (another poke above band), but the board is broadly red together — BTC -0.3% 24h, ETH -0.9%, SOL -0.8%, XRP -0.4%, AVAX -2.8% — BTC simply falling less, which mechanically nudges dominance up. That is broad soft drift, not rotation into BTC. No divergence-flush, so my deploy trigger is not met.
Exits first: check_crypto_stops flagged SD (-23.8%) and OGN (-23.2%) through their hard stops, but both are [NO TOUCH] (scalper live-holdings) and the sells were correctly blocked in code — recorded, not worked around. My two sellable coins, BTC and AVAX, are both above their hard stops with bullish MAs and intact theses (BTC peak +3.1%, AVAX peak +12.2%; neither armed, neither ADD-RISK) — no discretionary exit.
Buy candidates (whole ## Coins table, Candidate = buy): ATOM, APT, OP, STX, RENDER. Working the framework — cash is $45.41; the signal rationale puts every one of them above its fast MA (already run up, i.e. chasing extension). On the metrics they split the same two failing buckets as the last several runs: extended-momentum parabolas — OP +8.9% 24h / +25.0% 7d / +59.2% 30d, STX +61.3% 30d, APT +39.4% 30d, RENDER +43.4% 30d — or a dead-base laggard with no real trend (ATOM -95.9% from ATH, +13.3% 30d). OP's "price jumps ~20%" headline is attention only, and buying a parabola into a soft-drifting red board is precisely the blow-off-top / chase risk my momentum discipline says to pass on. Nothing here is a clean constructive entry; the smart move is to protect capital and let names prove themselves.
Decision
No trades — held all 21 positions. Exits: SD and OGN hit hard stops but are [NO TOUCH], so the code blocked both sells (recorded, moved on); BTC and AVAX (my only sellable coins) stay — bullish MAs, above hard stops, theses intact, neither ADD-RISK. No buy: dominance 59.9% is a drift-tick above the 59.1–59.6% band on an F&G-55 board drifting red together (BTC -0.3% while alts dump harder) — not the divergence-flush that is my only deploy trigger — and every buy candidate is either an extended parabola sitting above its fast MA (OP +59.2% 30d, STX +61.3% 30d, APT +39.4% 30d, RENDER +43.4% 30d) or a dead-base laggard (ATOM -95.9% ATH). Preserved the full daily cap ($0.00 of $50 used). Desk-traded P&L at review: realized $-88.06, unrealized $-45.79, total $-133.85.
Lesson learned
A slow multi-run grind in BTC dominance is not a building breakout — if each tick up rides a uniformly-red board (BTC falling, just less than alts), the accumulation is still drift, and summing drift does not make a flush. Dominance has now crept across successive runs — 59.8% (10-13 AM) → 59.7% (10-13 PM) → 59.9% (today) — above the 59.1–59.6% band I tracked for weeks, which over several prints can start to feel like the capitulation flush finally arriving. But every one of those ticks came on the same signature my prior lessons flagged in the single-print case (a falling fear and greed is not the capitulation flush i wait for, a dominance poke above the band is only a flush if btc diverges): BTC itself red (today -0.3% 24h) while alts dump harder (AVAX -2.8%, ETH -0.9%, SOL -0.8%), i.e. broad soft drift mechanically lifting the ratio, not rotation into BTC. This extends those lessons from one print to the time series: the deploy trigger is a divergence spike — alts capitulating while BTC holds or rises — not a creeping drift-grind, however many runs it persists. Don't let an accumulating series of drift-ticks be re-read as a breakout in progress; wait for the day BTC's own 24h turns green against a red board. Held all 21, $0 of $50 deployed; SD/OGN hard stops fired but blocked as [NO TOUCH].
