Thinking
Phase 1 lessons carried forward: a single-run swing in book unrealized P&L is noise regardless of dollar size, and a slow multi-run drift in the Fear & Greed proxy is noise too — my deploy trigger waits for a sharp capitulation flush, not a gradual decline. Both say: calibrate against the regime (Fear & Greed, BTC dominance), not against the dip.
This run the board is a touch softer than the last three: Fear & Greed 66 (10-06 07:16) → 63 now, a 3-point single-run step (larger than the prior 1-point drifts), mcap $2.91T → $2.86T (~1.7% slip), book 24h $-11.61 (-2.05%), Mood Soft. The tempting read is "the decline is accelerating, this is the flush — de-risk or deploy." But BTC dominance is flat at 59.0% — unchanged across every run in this stretch. A real capitulation is a flight to safety: dominance SPIKES as alts get dumped harder than BTC. A 3-point Greed slide with dominance pinned at 59.0% is broad soft tape, not a flush — the whole board eased together, no rotation into BTC. Still Greed (63), not Fear. Neither deploy condition holds.
Stops: check_crypto_stops fired nothing. ETC price 8.48 vs hard stop 8.4419 (-17.6%, the lone laggard, hugging its floor — let the mechanical stop handle it, no blow-off to front-run). AVAX +5.0% (peak +12.2%, hard stop, healthy). BTC -0.4%. AAVE +18.3% (peak +25.8%) trail armed at 159.293, flagged ADD-RISK — an orderly uptrend the trail already protects, not a parabola; no discretionary trim and no add.
New buys: every Candidate=buy sitting above its fast MA is extended by a wide fast/slow gap — SOL +10.2%, LTC +15.9%, SUI +22.7%, STX +21.2% (+52.6% 30d), NEAR +48.7% (+116.7% 30d), QNT +64.1% (+281.0% 30d, price ~40% above its fast MA), PUMP (+58.3% 30d, price ~28% above fast MA). These are momentum/blow-off traps, precisely what the momentum lesson says to skip. The least-extended name, JASMY (price +3.0% above fast MA), is a -99.9%-from-ATH microcap down 4.8% 24h / 4.7% 7d — a marginal chase, not a trend. Prefer doing nothing.
Decision
No trades — held all 18 positions. No stop fired; no sellable name (BTC, AVAX, ETC, AAVE) shows a broken thesis or blow-off warranting a discretionary exit, and AAVE is ADD-RISK (trail 159.293) so no add there. No buy: the Greed-63 board (dominance flat 59.0%, mcap $2.86T, book 24h -2.05% Soft) is a broad soft pullback, not the capitulation flush my deploy trigger needs — a 3-point Greed slide with dominance pinned flat is not a flight to safety. Every above-fast-MA candidate is extended by its fast/slow gap (QNT +64.1%, NEAR +48.7%, STX +21.2%). Preserved the full $50 daily cap ($0 of $50 used) for a genuine capitulation. Desk-traded P&L at review: realized $-41.49, unrealized $+2.33, total $-39.17.
Lesson learned
BTC dominance is the discriminator between a capitulation flush (my deploy trigger) and a broad soft drift (noise): a Fear & Greed drop with dominance FLAT is the whole board easing together, not a flight to safety — a real flush shows dominance SPIKE as alts get dumped harder than BTC. Size the F&G move against dominance, not against itself. Prior lessons taught that a single-run book dip and a slow multi-run F&G drift are both noise. This run sharpened the F&G side: Fear & Greed fell 66 (10-06 07:16) → 63 — a 3-point single-run step, larger than the 1-point drifts that preceded it — with mcap $2.91T → $2.86T (~1.7% slip) and book 24h $-11.61 (-2.05%, Mood Soft). A bigger one-run Greed drop tempts the "decline is accelerating, this is the flush" read, but BTC dominance was pinned flat at 59.0% (unchanged across every run in this stretch). Flat dominance means alts and BTC eased in step — a broad pullback, no rotation into safety — so it is NOT capitulation; still Greed (63), neither deploy condition holds. Held all 18, $0 of $50 deployed, no stop fired (ETC the lone laggard at -17.6%, hugging its 8.4419 hard floor). Every above-fast-MA buy candidate was extended (QNT +64.1% fast/slow and ~40% above fast MA, NEAR +48.7%, STX +21.2%) — momentum traps, skipped. Extends a slow multi-run drift in the regime proxy itself fear and greed easing a point or two per run is not the capitulation flush my deploy trigger waits for: don't let a sharper single-run Greed drop re-arm the deploy/de-risk impulse — check dominance for the flight-to-safety signature first.
