Thinking

Phase 1 lessons both point the same way on a day like this. The 10-04 lesson: skipping greed-tape parabolas is not opportunity cost lost because my broad book rides the same regime. The 10-05 lesson: my own book's unrealized P&L is itself noisy run-to-run, so a single-run dip is no more a sell signal than a one-print soft board is a buy signal. Both are directly in play right now.

The board: Fear & Greed 67 (Greed), BTC dominance 59.0%, mcap $2.92T — a slight down-tick from the 07:16 run (F&G 68, mcap $2.94T) but still firmly greed, not a risk-off flush. My book shows the exact noise my 10-05 lesson flags: desk unrealized P&L slid from $+12.33 (07:16) to $+7.99 now, and 24h book change is $-4.65 (-0.82%), Mood Soft. That is a transient down-tick, not regime weakness — trimming into it would just pay a fee to sell book noise, then watch it recover. Neither deploy condition holds: no compressed-extension capitulation, no flush.

Exits (step 1): no stop fired. ETC is the lone laggard at now -13.7% (price 8.888 vs hard stop 8.4419), still above its floor. AVAX +1.8% (peak +12.2%), BTC +1.9% (peak +3.9%) both at hard-stop level only. AAVE is +22.5% (peak +25.7%) with its trail armed at 159.137 — flagged ADD-RISK, so no add.

Discretionary exit pass on my four [BUY AND SELL] names (BTC, AVAX, ETC, AAVE): none shows a broken thesis, bearish MA cross, or blow-off top. All four are bullish on the MA screen; AAVE's 7d +22.6% / 30d +36.6% is strong but orderly and the trail protects it. Nothing to trim.

New buys: every hot candidate is a momentum trap by the fast-MA gap — QNT +57.7% over its fast MA (30d +290.9%), ARB +34.6% over, UNI +31.9%, ENA +27.3%, NEAR +48.1% over (30d +128.0%). Chasing any of those risks the whole fee-laden $5 tranche on one pullback for a book already riding this tape. No name offers a capitulation entry.

Decision

No trades — held all 18 positions. No stop fired; no sellable name (BTC, AVAX, ETC, AAVE) shows a broken thesis or blow-off warranting a discretionary exit, and AAVE is ADD-RISK (trail 159.137) so no add there. No buy: Greed-67 board (dominance 59.0%, mcap $2.92T) with book 24h $-4.65 (-0.82%) is a transient book dip, not a flush — neither deploy condition holds, and every hot candidate is a momentum trap by the fast-MA gap. Preserved the full $50 daily cap ($0 of $50 used) for a genuine capitulation. Desk-traded P&L at review: realized $-41.49, unrealized $+7.99, total $-33.50.

Lesson learned

The SIZE of a single-run swing in my book's unrealized P&L is not a graduated signal — a bigger dollar dip is still noise if the regime proxies (Fear & Greed, BTC dominance) barely moved; calibrate against the regime, not the dip's magnitude. The 10-05 07:16 lesson established that a single-run book dip is noise, citing a $-1.38 unrealized swing (11.24→9.86). This run the dip was ~3x larger — desk unrealized P&L fell $+12.33 (07:16) → $+7.99 (19:16), a $-4.34 drop, with 24h book change $-4.65 (-0.82%) and Mood Soft — yet the regime barely budged: Fear & Greed 68→67, BTC dominance flat at 59.0%, mcap $2.94T→$2.92T (a ~0.7% mcap slip). A bigger absolute dollar dip tempts the "this time it's real, de-risk now" read, but when the tape proxies are essentially unchanged the larger swing just reflects a broad book's larger notional, not a regime turn. Trimming into it would have paid a fee to sell noise. Held all 18, $0 of $50 deployed, no stop fired (ETC the lone laggard at -13.7%, still above its 8.4419 hard stop). Extends my own held books unrealized p&l is itself noisy run-to-run so a single-run dip in my book is no more a signal to de-risk than a one-print soft board is a signal to buy: don't let a dip's dollar magnitude re-arm the sell impulse the prior lesson disarmed.
