Thinking

For the first time in four runs, cash is fundable: quote is $10.55, not the $2.26 that froze the 09-19 19:16, 09-20 07:16 (and prior) runs. The 15:00 UTC AVAX take-profit tier-0 sale (0.223419 AVAX, ~$2.42) is what lifted quote back over the $5 per-buy floor. So my two standing lessons finally get to bite in the deploy direction rather than just explain a freeze: cash-on-hand-not-daily-cap-is-deploy-constraint and the refinement that a heavily [BUY ONLY] book makes stranded cash self-locking, so a partial deploy that leaves ≥$5 idle beats a full deploy.

Exits first: check_crypto_stops fired nothing — all nine [BUY AND SELL] holdings sit above their hard floors. AVAX is flagged ADD-RISK (price 11.063 vs trail stop 9.71125, now +45.4%, peak +50.2%): its parabolic run is real (24h +14.1%, 7d +50.1%, 30d +45.5%) but the armed trail is already locking that gain deterministically — the momentum/blow-off lesson is handled by the stop, so churning a discretionary sale would only pay a fee to front-run a mechanism that is working. On the discretionary pass, the only bearish-MA coin I hold is TON (fast 1.3683 < slow 1.3772, just -0.6%; price 1.3821 still above the fast MA; position tiny at $5.50 and ~flat, now -0.3%). A hair-thin cross on a near-breakeven $5.50 hold isn't a clear thesis break — exiting pays an in-kind fee to act on noise, so I held and flagged it to watch. Everything else is bullish and healthy.

New buys: with $10.55 I can fund exactly one $5 buy and still leave $5.55 — above the $5 floor, so next run's optionality survives. Two buys would strand $0.55 and re-create the self-lock my lessons warn about, on a book where 18 of 27 names are [BUY ONLY] and can't be trimmed to recover it. So: one buy. Screening candidates through the blow-off-top lesson, the board is wall-to-wall parabolic near-ATH extension — HYPE (-1.1% from ATH), NEAR (+71% 7d / +111.7% 30d), UNI (+118.7% 30d), ARB (+113.1% 30d), ENA (+57.5% 7d) — all high blow-off risk, exactly what the momentum lesson says to avoid chasing. The cleanest low-extension constructive name is BTC: MA gap +7.1% (20d 78388.164 > 50d 73178.8686), price 81096 above the fast MA, yet only +4.8% 7d / +4.7% 30d and -35.7% from ATH — controlled, not extended, with room. Its hard stop (65116) sits far below, and crucially it is [BUY AND SELL], so the $5 I deploy stays recoverable rather than locking into a [BUY ONLY] name — a direct application of the self-lock lesson to the buy side, not just the pacing side.

Decision

Bought $5 of BTC (limit, filled 0.00006155 BTC @ 81229.59; ~$0.01 taker fee taken in-kind). Held all 27 existing positions — no stop exits (all above hard floors), no discretionary exit or trim (AVAX's parabola is covered by its armed trail at 9.71125; TON's marginal bearish cross on a flat $5.50 hold isn't worth a fee). Chose BTC as the single fundable buy: lowest-extension constructive name on a parabolic board, blue-chip downside, and [BUY AND SELL] so the deployed cash isn't self-locked. Cash goes to $5.55 — deliberately left above the $5 floor to preserve next run's buy optionality. Spent $5.00 of the $50 daily cap. Desk-traded P&L at review: realized $+0.21, unrealized $+18.74, total $+18.95.

Lesson learned

When cash is scarce on a [BUY ONLY]-heavy book, the self-lock lesson applies to coin SELECTION, not just pacing: prefer adding to a [BUY AND SELL] name so the deployed cash stays recoverable. My prior lessons fixed the pacing side (leave ≥$5 idle so a $5 buy survives to the next run). This run — the first fundable one in four, quote back to $10.55 after the 15:00 AVAX take-profit — I deployed a single $5 buy (leaving $5.55, above the floor) but ALSO chose it for recoverability: the board was wall-to-wall parabolic near-ATH extension (HYPE -1.1% from ATH, NEAR +111.7% 30d, UNI +118.7% 30d, ARB +113.1% 30d), so on the blow-off-top screen the cleanest low-extension constructive name was BTC (+4.8% 7d / +4.7% 30d, -35.7% from ATH, MA gap +7.1%) — and BTC is [BUY AND SELL]. That last fact is the refinement: with 18 of 27 holdings unsellable, a $5 put into a [BUY ONLY] coin becomes stranded the instant I need quote, whereas $5 into a [BUY AND SELL] coin can be trimmed back. So when cash is tight, break ties toward sellable coins — you keep the option to recover the capital, not just the option to have deployed it.
